Hi my name is Tara London, I am Singer/Songwriter from London. I trained in Acting, Musical Theatre & Technical Theatre, but have been involved with performing & writing music since I was young.

From a young age I had an affliation with singers such as Billie Holiday, Elvis Presley, Janis Joplin to name but a few, I loved their sense of individuality & flair, regardless of what the general consensus of what good music was all about at the time, they produced what felt right to them & didnt follow trends..as a direct result I have always leaned towards music that inspires something in me, causes an emotive response, touches me in a way that nothing else can, that has created a desire in me to produce songs that have an impact on others in the same way.

I shy away from the stereo typical, & ego driven pursuits of fame & acclaimation, in favour of writing & performing music that has the capacity to move someone.

In recent years I have been performing with bands, two in particular, both very different, & my experiences with both bands were unique & ultimately taught me a lot..I have met & worked with many individuals over the past few years whom have contributed in a positive way & have helped me grow as a vocalist & musician, to them, I owe my gratitude.x

Currently, I am working as a solo Artist, writing new material for my first Album 'The Whispering Years' as well as doing Live Acoustic shows alongside my Guitarist Nick Micheals and Backing Vocalists Jodie Gray and Natalie Marsland , across London and the SouthEast including venues such as The Blag Club, The Cobden Club, Spice of Life Soho,The Sidcup/Bexley Guitar Society, 'The Original Songwriters'@ The Backyard, Broadway Theatre, The Bedford, The Cedar room, The Gate and many more...Please check my upcoming shows and Blogs for more details of my Live work plus ticket and event information. My songs have also been featured on some independent Radio stations and podcasts both nationally and Internationally and I am very grateful to those individuals who have afforded me Air play.

I am also involved at the moment with an incredible production team encompassing some very talented & diligent musicians & producers, in a writing/recording collaboration project. In the coming months I will also be recording for other Artists & featuring on their forthcoming albums & projects.

I feel very blessed to be involved in all the projects I am a part of & overwhelmingly grateful to those that have given me these oppotunities to do what I love, being a singer/songwiter is not what I do...its what I am, my first love.

All the songs on my page were written by me with the exception of 'Take me back' which was written collectivley by Myself, Nick Micheals & Phil Curran and 'Push & Pull' which was written by Nikka Costa.
